Anxiety & Depression
1 in 6 people report experiencing a common mental health problem such as anxiety and depression in any given week in England according to www.mind.org.uk.
Some of the more common signs/symptoms are restlessness, lack of motivation, concentration or enjoyment. There can also be an increased or decreased appetite, more dependence on substances such as alcohol, tobacco and drugs. A lack of sleep, feeling numb, empty, isolated, hopeless, irritable, even causing some people to self-harm and have suicidal thoughts.
All of which can be helped by talking therapy and finding the right counsellor for you.

This empathy and understanding sits at the core of my practice.
"When a person is hurting, confused, troubled, anxious, alienated, terrified; or when he or she is doubtful of self-worth, uncertain as to identity, then understanding is called for. The gentle and sensitive companionship of an empathetic stance … provides illumination and healing. In such situations deep understanding is, I believe, the most precious gift one can give to another"
